New Techniques!

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 12, 2009, 1:13 AM

Year at year at year at year...same procedure as every year. All my works are limited to photography and vector art. A couple of days ago, i tried to make my own logo with a combined G and O with deep 3D-bevels. I think it's quite okay, but not really the final product i haved wished for.
Well, i going to discover new techniques to get more diversity. And so i experimented with text art, photomanipulation and tilt-shift-effects.

Photomanipulation
Few days ago, i bought a german magazine named "Photoshop Creative". It's full of helpfull tips, tricks and tutorials.
Among others, they printed a very useful photomanipulation tutorial. Additional , they have a CD in the magazine full with stock images etc.

With help of the magazine and these stock images i made my first photomanipulation.

The Killing Strawberry

It's nothing special - only a replica of one of these tutorials at the magazine. But i think it look's really cool and, to use the words of one of the comments on the submissions, little bit creepy

I think that the result is quite okay :)
I'm pleased to read your comments & critiques :)

Text Art
I'm allways wondering when i see any text art submissions at deviantart. Most of it are very cool and quite interessting. Creating pictures only with fragments of text is a stunning skill in my opinion. And, because of my enthusiasm, i tried to create my own first text art!
Here you can see what i've done:

The Dark Knight

Yep, i like Batman! Love all his films and comics! And the new PC Game (Arkham Asylum) of course too. So i wanna create my own fan-art in form of text art. Hope you like it!

Tilt-Shift
First time i've seen these gorgeous effects was at an t-mobile advertising. You can see there a few cool scenes and landscapes with this effect, which have really impressed me! I like the way it look's like a miniature. Great technique! Unfortunately, i haven't got such an objective at home and so i have to use Photoshop to make such great effects.

Miniature Chairs

Streets of San Francisco

I think it's quite good. Please comment and critique! That's the only way i can improve my skills.

Best regards
Peter

the only reason why smart people are labeled as geeks or dorks is because the "norm" of society is to be a jaded idiot

there is at least one thing in everyone's gallery that deserves a fav, it just all depends on how hard you look
